As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote The worst! Principal and assistant principal are unprofessional. I have more education under my belt compare to the assistant principal that wants to discriminate my child. Get off your high horse anyone can do your job it’s easy right? Let’s pick on kids all day instead of worry about Academic achievements. So sad wish every district was as good as North Palos 117. You guys aren't running a prison it's a school! Shame on you and Shame on the teacher that has kids in her class walking around in soaks because she only lets them use a pencil if they give her a piece of their property?? Does she need pencil donation because ill be glad to help the kids and have them keep their dignity. The adults in this school are bullies. Dear "Assistant" Principal next time you speak to a child that isn't of your skin color or maybe not your religion speak to them like humans not rude like a dog. Guess what don't throw the race card because black people can be racist TOO. Close Quote

Open Quote Kindergarten was okay. I feel the teachers were very sympathetic to my issues. But, extremely disappointed with first grade. My kid is smart, okay, I admit that. But, there are a few others in his class who are, too. The teacher seems to cater to the "more challenged," or "behind" kids, however you want to look at it. The "smart" ones are left to fend for themselves, read baby books, are told "pretend you don't know it" when they know something very well and are bored. The district really needs to do something about this. Talk about discrimination, but not your typical kind. We all pay the same taxes, don't we? Or, do we? There are many renters who come to this school who don't pay any, but nevertheless, our children all deserve to feel challenged, don't they? Mine is simply bored. Luckily, he constantly does more and more at home and continues to challenge himself with math skills, reading, grammar, etc. Sorry, I cannot recommend this school unless your child is behind. If your child is even an average smart child, they will be bored and ignored, so the teacher can focus on the slow kids. Really, really disappointing. Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
