New Field Elementary School serves 541 students in prekindergarten through grade 4 in Chicago, within Chicago Public Schools District 299. Its 2025–2026 results show a mixed picture: math proficiency is above the district result, while English language arts (ELA) is below it; both are below state results. The clearest concern is grade 4, where New Field had the second-lowest reported results among ten nearby schools in both subjects.

Grade 3 is a relative bright spot: 43% were proficient in ELA and 47% in math, ranking third-highest and fourth-highest, respectively, among nearby schools with reported results. Its subgroup rankings show notable variation: English Language Learner Students ranked at the 53rd percentile for how well the school serves that group in 2024–2025, up from the 7th percentile in 2022–2023; African American Students ranked at the 70th percentile that year.
