Open Quote The Kindergarten program is absolutely impeccable. All the teachers work together in sync to come up with a common curriculum. The academic content of the program is in line with state and federal standards. Outside of the classroom, the students have opportunities to learn Spanish as a foreign language, and the teachers are superb. Other activities, such as music and library are also impressive. My son has learned so much that I never thought he would acquire in the past 8 months, and I am myself a certified and experienced educator. Most importantly, there's a lot of parent involvement, and coupled with the fact that the "catchment" area of the school is in an elite part of the city, one can be assured that this school draws mostly students whose parents care about their education and overall development. About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.

About Immunization Rates:
Each year, public and private schools across the state are required to send data about their students’ vaccination status to the Illinois State Board of Education. The state Board of Education compiles the data and shares them with the Illinois Department of Public Health. Public health officials use the data to monitor trends, track compliance with state immunization laws and identify pockets of vulnerability should an outbreak occur.
