Summary

Hyde Park Academy High School is a Chicago Public Schools high school in Chicago, serving 838 students in grades 9–12. In 11th-grade ACT results, 10% were proficient in ELA, 6% in mathematics and 15% in science; chronic absenteeism was 84%, compared with 39% in the district and 24% statewide. The most important finding is that low proficiency across subjects coincides with exceptionally high chronic absenteeism.
