Bogan High School serves 716 students in grades 9–12 in Chicago Public Schools District 299. Its most important concern is low achievement across tested subjects: in 2025–2026, 11th-grade proficiency was 16% in ELA, 6% in math and 15% in science. Bogan scored below the state, district and nearby-school averages in all three subjects—and below every nearby school with reported ACT results.

This school is HORRIBLE. 90 of the teachers are lazy and do not teach anything AND discipline is the biggest joke on the south side of the city. This place is the epitome of a 'credit mill.' They pass students to keep up with the 'on-track' rating and graduation rates. I know multiple people who graduated from this place and only went to school or class a few times a month. All you have to do is complain or get your parent to complain and they will change your grades and you will walk across that stage. It's the worst. Close Quote
