Summary

Bloom Trail High School is a public school in Chicago Heights serving grades 9–12, with 1,218 students in Bloom Township HSD 206. The school is the smallest of seven nearby high schools, but its most important challenge is academic: in 2025–26, proficiency was below the state in every reported subject and grade, with gaps of 23–30 points.

Bloom Trail’s results are generally close to its district’s, but below nearby-school averages in all nine subject and grade comparisons. For example, grade 10 ELA proficiency was 26% at both Bloom Trail and the district, while Bloom Trail’s grade 11 ACT ELA result was 23%, compared with 50% statewide and a 28% nearby-school average.
