South’s strongest result is 52% proficiency in grade 9 ELA, still 9 points below the state. North has two narrow leads—1 point in grade 11 ELA and 3 points in grade 9 math—but has the lowest score in five comparisons; its grade 10 math result is 9%, 27 points below the state. Graduation rates are stronger than test scores suggest: South is at 93% and North at 91%, both above the state’s 90%.
