Summary:
Triad CUSD 2 includes six schools serving students from elementary through high school: four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. The schools generally score above state averages on the available comparisons, but the most important finding is that elementary scores remain above the state while declining year over year.
C A Henning School leads the elementary schools in all-grades ELA (71%) and math (56%), respectively 15 and 16 percentage points above state results. Marine Elementary School has the lowest all-grades ELA result at 56%, about 1 point below the state, while Silver Creek Elementary is lowest in math at 47%, still 7 points above the state. Grade-level results add nuance: Marine leads fifth-grade ELA at 78% and math at 65%, while Henning leads fifth-grade science at 70%. Triad Middle School is above the state by 15 points in both all-grades subjects. Triad High School is also well above state ACT results: by 24 points in ELA, 27 in math and 27 in science.
Elementary all-grades averages fell from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026: 3 points in ELA and 4 in math, while state results rose 3 and 1 points. The exception is Triad Middle, where ELA rose 7 points and math 2. SchoolDigger’s reported percentile rankings from 2023–2024 to 2025–2026 rose at Marine (76th to 74th) and Triad High (88th to 90th), but fell at Triad Middle (85th to 75th), Silver Creek (70th to 59th) and St Jacob Elementary School (83rd to 71st); Henning moved from 75th to 77th after reaching 84th. In 2024–2025, elementary student–teacher ratios ranged from 14.2 at Henning to 16.2 at Silver Creek, and free/reduced lunch eligible shares ranged from 17% to 19%; Henning had the highest share while leading the all-grades results. These figures describe different school contexts, but do not sort neatly with achievement.
