Riverton CUSD 14 has three schools serving prekindergarten through grade 12: Riverton Elementary (PK–4), Riverton Middle (5–8) and Riverton High (9–12), with 1,219 students combined. Results vary notably by subject and grade: elementary math is relatively close to the state, while math is a much larger concern in middle and high school. The clearest overall pattern for parents is that math needs particular attention in the older grades, while elementary’s biggest gap is in ELA.
Riverton Elementary is closest to the state in all-grades math: 37% proficient versus 40%, a 3-point gap; its ELA result is 42% versus 56%, 14 points behind. High-school trends are mixed: ninth-grade math rose from 14% to 30%, while 10th-grade ELA fell from 52% to 39% and science from 41% to 28%. Attendance is another point of contrast: chronic absenteeism was 12% at Elementary, 23% at Middle and 32% at High, compared with 24% statewide. In 2024–25, free/reduced lunch eligible students made up 60% at Elementary, 53% at Middle and 51% at High; student-teacher ratios were 12.4, 11.5 and 15.5, respectively.
