Summary:
R O W V A Cusd 208 has two schools serving PK–6 and grades 7–12: R O W V A Elementary School and R O W V A Junior and Senior High School. In 2025–2026, their All Grades IAR results show a clear split: the elementary was above state rates in both subjects, while the high school was below, especially in math. Because the schools serve different grades, their All Grades results are not a like-for-like comparison. The elementary’s stronger results and the high school’s larger math shortfall are the clearest overall findings.
The elementary stands out against the state: its All Grades IAR results were 60% in ELA and 46% in math, compared with 56% and 40% statewide—reported leads of 3 and 7 percentage points. The high school’s results were 47% in ELA and 22% in math, 10 and 17 points below state rates. Still, the high school has notable strengths on other measures: its graduation rate was 97% versus 90% statewide, and all reported 9th- and 10th-grade PreACT Secure subject results were above state rates. For example, 9th-grade math was 63% versus 42%, and 9th-grade science was 69% versus 47%.
Results have shifted in different directions over time. From 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, both schools’ ELA results fell as the state rate rose; in math, the elementary improved and the high school remained at 22%, narrowing the equal-school average’s gap with the state by 1 point. SchoolDigger ranking percentiles rose from the 46th to the 61st at the elementary and from the 34th to the 72nd at the high school since 2023–2024, though both eased from the prior year. In 2024–2025, student-teacher ratios were 13.4 and 7.8, respectively; free/reduced lunch eligible shares were 45% at the elementary and 36% at the high school. Attendance is a relative strength at the elementary: chronic absenteeism was 10% versus 21% at the high school in 2025–2026. The elementary’s grade 5 science result also fell from 77% in 2024–2025 to 45% in 2025–2026.
