Summary:
Medinah School District 11 has three schools serving prekindergarten through grade 8: Medinah Primary (PK–2), Medinah Intermediate (3–5) and Medinah Middle (6–8); no high school is included. Enrollment is nearly identical, from 246 to 250 students per school. The clearest academic standout is Medinah Middle, which exceeded state results in both reported schoolwide subjects in 2025–2026.
Medinah Middle led the two schools with reported test results: its ELA proficiency was 63% versus 56% statewide, and math was 43% versus 40%—advantages of 6 and 4 points. Medinah Intermediate was essentially at the state level schoolwide: ELA was 56.1% versus 56.3%, and math was 39.5% versus 39.6%. Grade results add detail: Middle’s eighth-grade math was 49% versus 35% statewide, while Intermediate’s math was below the state in each tested grade. Both schools were above the state in their reported science grades, by 4 points at Intermediate and 13 at Middle. Primary has no test results in the supplied data; schoolwide scores cover different grade spans, so they are not same-grade comparisons.
Results moved in different directions over time. Intermediate ELA rose 11 points from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, while its math fell 6 points; Middle ELA rose 4 points and math dipped 1, but Middle remained above the state in both subjects. SchoolDigger’s latest school rankings put Middle at the 61st percentile with 3 stars and Intermediate at the 45th percentile with 2 stars; both percentiles have fallen from earlier years. As context, 2024–2025 free/reduced lunch eligible shares were 44.0% at Intermediate and 43.9% at Middle, and student-teacher ratios were 14.3 and 13.5, respectively. Chronic absenteeism in 2025–2026 was below the state rate at all three schools, ranging from 13% at Intermediate to 17% at Middle.
