There is one high school in Illini Central CUSD 189: Illini Central High School, serving grades 9–12 with 172 students. In 2025–2026, its graduation rate was 89%, close to the state’s 90%; chronic absenteeism was 19%, below the state’s 24% but above the district’s 14%. The most important academic finding is that mathematics was below state results in all three tested grades, averaging 10 percentage points lower.
Illini Central High School’s strongest results compared with the state were in 11th-grade ACT science and ELA: 52% versus 48% in science, 4 points higher, and 55% versus 50% in ELA, 5 points higher.
