Summary:
Valmeyer has one high school, Valmeyer High School, serving grades 9–12 in Valmeyer CUSD 3. The clearest picture is mixed: the school’s 2025–26 graduation rate was 95%, compared with 90% statewide, and chronic absenteeism was 18% versus 24%. Most importantly, its 2024–25 grade 11 ACT results were above state results in all three reported subjects, while every reported PreACT result in 2024–25 and 2025–26 was below the state.
Valmeyer High School is both the highest- and lowest-performing school in this group because it is the only one, so there is no local school-to-school comparison. Against state results, its strongest reported showing was the 2024–25 grade 11 ACT: proficiency was 63% in ELA, 53% in math and 58% in science, leading the state by 12, 13 and 9 percentage points, respectively.
