West Elementary School

West Elementary School is a PK–4 school in Mountain Home, ID, serving 556 students in the Mountain Home School District and ranking in the middle tier of Idaho elementary schools at the 34th percentile. West has the largest enrollment among the town's elementary schools and serves a student body with significant economic need — 63.9% of students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch, a share that has climbed from 49.8% since 2022–2023.

West's most distinctive academic pattern is the gap between math and English language arts. In 2025–2026, 47.1% of West students scored proficient in ISAT math, well above the district's 36.0% and above the state's 43.1%.
