Meridian High School is a large, traditional public high school in Meridian, Idaho, serving 1,774 students in grades 9–12 as part of Joint School District No. 2. In 2025–2026, it ranked 63rd of 122 Idaho high schools — a 48th-percentile result — placing it well below its own district's high standards. What makes this especially notable is the neighborhood: within roughly three miles are some of the best schools in Idaho, including Renaissance High School (ranked #1), Meridian Medical Arts Charter (#3), Idaho Fine Arts Academy (#5), and Meridian Technical Charter High School (#7). The school stands out as the lower-performing traditional high school in an exceptionally strong area.

Academically, the school posts math scores essentially at the state average (33.2%) but about 15 points below the district average. Science scores are below both state and district averages, while English language arts exceed the state average but lag the district by 13 points.
