Taylors Crossing Charter School (TCS) is a PK–12 public charter school in Idaho Falls, Idaho, serving 375 students and operating under the Taylor's Crossing Public Charter School Inc. district. With a student-teacher ratio of about 21:1 and per-pupil spending around $7,394, TCS sits between American Heritage Charter School and White Pine Charter School in size and resources, and it outperforms both in most academic measures. Despite its "alternative" classification, TCS functions like a mainstream public charter school.

TCS posts impressive test scores. In 2025-2026, 63% of students were proficient in math, compared to 51% at American Heritage, 41% at White Pine, and 43% statewide. English Language Arts proficiency was even stronger at 73.3%, well above every comparison group. Early elementary results are especially strong: 3rd grade math proficiency was 79.3% versus 50.9% statewide, and 3rd grade ELA was 80.0% versus 48.5% statewide.

The main areas for improvement are 5th grade science, where only 21.2% of students were proficient versus 44.0% statewide, and high school End-of-Course math, at 30.0% proficiency versus 33.1% statewide. However, 8th grade science (62.1%) and EOC science (63.2%) are both strong, suggesting the 5th grade result may be an isolated issue rather than a systemic weakness. Notably, TCS achieves these results with 37.9% of students eligible for free/reduced lunch, making its academic performance all the more impressive. Overall, TCS appears to be a well-run school with a strong attendance culture and excellent results in the elementary and middle grades.
