Excellent school with a parent community and teaching professionals that truly care. Mr. Webb, the Principal leads from the front while rolling up his sleeves and staying connected and supportive.

Very weak for kids that are struggling or have special needs

The special education department is wonderful! The resource teachers and therapists are a great support to the teachers and they all work well collaboratively during the IEP process. I feel that they genuinely care about my child and are doing their best to ensure my child has a great education despite the learning deficits my child my struggle with. Great job BFES special education department and supporting staff!

Proud to be a BFES parent from its inception. We're a close knit community where parent involvement positively pours into the school working closely with our receptive principal (Windy Bottoms), administration & faculty members. Accountability falls on us all, and the impact of working together translates into happy thriving students who continue to be appropriately challenged & rewarded. The connection between the parents & principal is palpable. Ms. Bottoms represents her staff and addresses concerns head on creating a productive environment. The school governance council & PTO work hard to represent the parents and further connect the families with the administration for our common goals. The teachers constructively encourage students to reach their fullest potential, and provide open communication with parents. Grateful my children can laugh, learn, stumble & grow in such an incredibly supportive environment!

Birmingham Falls is the most exceptional elementary school for my children.

An excellent school. Administration is very responsive to any issues or concerns and is super proactive. Teachers are top notch. People who are critical of how staffing numbers change based on enrollment in a particular grade should direct their criticism toward Fulton County rather than the school - it's a county decision unfortunately. A bit unfair to penalize the school with a negative review based on that in such a public forum as this.

I have a second grader and kindergartner at BFES. Its a newer school so the facility is beautiful. The curriculum, teachers and staff are the best. The have a wonderful faculty with years of experience as well as some newer graduate teachers. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful school in our area. We love Birmingham falls.

My wife and our two kids were fortunate to move into the Birmingham Falls Elementary School district three years ago. Since that time, we have found the school, administration, teachers and staff to be profesional and caring about the welfare, educational and personal success of our children. This school has set a new standard in finding the balance of student success, in an era where success is driven by "numbers," by offering an exceptional learning environment for both parents and teachers. As a relatively new school, I expect the administation, including, the highly-respected principal and assistant principal, to continue on a path that will emphasis more opportunities for development of its students, including STEM initiatives. Parents are always welcome at BFES, and encouraged to actively participate in classroom and school activities. Yet, more can be done, and community leaders, local businesses and academic partners should also get involved, realizing the "gem" the Milton and Alpharetta communities have in this wonderful school. My take-away is optimism - seeing these kind, intelligent and creative minds flourishing makes me proud to be a Bobcat parent.

The school has had a lot of administration turnover in the past few years, but we finally have a principal who is doing a great job bringing the students, parents, teachers and community together. This year has brought about a complete change in the atmosphere at the school and I'm happy to say that I feel good about the future of Birmingham Falls.

BFES has hit its stride as a newer school - we now have an excellent principal who shows tremendous leadership and is well-respected by teachers and parents. Our teachers and admin are second to none - any issues I have ever voiced concern over as a parent have been addressed competently and fairly; teachers have been wonderful about working with us as parents to find solutions anytime our children struggle in areas related to curriculum and academics. We came from a private school before moving to this area and were reluctant to enroll in public school - we have found BFES to be everything we look for in a quality educational experience and will be so sad to leave elementary school when the time comes! It has truly been a home for our children and I would recommend it without hesitation to anyone.

School was ill-equipped to handle increase in 1st grade enrollment in 2013; their solution was to create one extra large overflow class and assign a temporary teacher to preside over that class. As a result, there have been huge discipline problems in that class and they are a month behind all of the other classes.

The administration has been completely unresponsive to addressing the issues. I guess i shouldn't be surprised. As a government school, there is no accountability and no consequences for this type of behavior. It's shameful, but not unusual.
