Open Quote What will they do about their awful parking lot / drop off set up. It is nearly impossible to get your child to the door of the drop off point after driving through a congested obstacle course of a parking lot/thruway without your child being marked tardy and them complaining to parents about being tardy when it takes 10-15 minutes to make it to past the single lane obstacle course of traffic upon entry of the property. Once you finally make it into the entrance and into the single lane of traffic with no place to pull over if you wanted to hop out and make a dash for the front entrance, you must then share your time with the decision that other parents have made to slow down to look for one of the extremely limited parking spaces near the front entrance to walk their children inside & then stop traffic to park (while also waiting in between to allow the consistant flow of pedestrians to cross).

Then, just when the car holding up traffic is fully in their newfound parking space others begin to pull out of other inconveniently placed parking spaces (also waiting to allow pedestrians to cross). Once you are just about to the back driveway, which will finally lead you to hidden and distant PRIZE... I mean, drop off point... you are held up by cars who are trying to turn into the now congested exit as those parents who have already made it to the finish line are now driving through the same obstacle course traffic they encountered in the first parking lot.

Please DO SOMETHING about this and stop offering Cookie-Cutter PR statements/excuses about how much it would cost to draw a new set of sensible lines & lanes in the lots and tar atleast ONE new entrance or exit so that drop off traffic does not have to meet with a Christmas time at the Mall-like stressful Parking lot. You should go over your students attendance records and give them credit on days where it is evident that many parents did not make during these circumstances.

You cannot force parents to put their children on the bus everyday if they cannot... everyones schedule will not allow for this. The staff should also cease attempting to make parents feel as though they are doing a poor job if they cannot place their child on the bus. Shame on them for that awful drop off system! Open Quote My last child is finishing at this school where all 3 of my kids have attended. The staff is consistant and caring. The administration runs the school with order and a kind spirit. I especially like the diversity represented at this school. While we've moved out of its district while my kids attended the school ( I teach there and can bring them with me with permission) I could have sent my kids to a higher rated school near my home. I chose to keep my kids at Cheatham Hill for the "slice of life" it represents. I have never regretted this decision and am saddened to be leaving this great school.
