In 2024-2025, 68.1% of 3rd graders and 52.8% of 4th graders were proficient or better in mathematics, compared to 22.8% and 28.7% for Clayton County, and 44.3% and 49% for the state. The school's relatively low spending per student (ranging from $9,160 to $11,147 over the past few years) and high percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch (76.5% to 90.34%) may indicate a need for additional funding and resources to support student learning and achievement.

Open Quote The school has been a huge disappointment. The academic needs of "certain" students are met, but for many they are not. Some students are allowed to transfer to better academic settings, while others are denied. And there seems to be no reason why some get their wishes and others do not, except the likeability of the kid to the principal. Not right. Unfair. I know that there are a little more than 100 kindergarteners, but the numbers fall drastically. Why? Leadership and a failure to meet the needs of all students is why. Close Quote
