Bremen 4th & 5th Grade Academy in Bremen, GA, serves 341 students in grades 4-5 as part of the Bremen City district, a top-ranked system that feeds from Jones Elementary School.

This school is a standout performer, earning a 5-star rating for ten straight years and ranking in the 91st percentile statewide. In the most recent testing cycle, 74.7% of 4th graders and 72.3% of 5th graders scored proficient in math—roughly 25-28 percentage points above the state average. Science scores are similarly strong at 65.9% proficient, though they have dipped slightly over the past three years. The school also keeps chronic absenteeism low at 11.8%, well below the state's 17.7%, which means your child is more likely to be in a classroom where consistent attendance is the norm. Special education students here perform in the 70th percentile statewide, a solid sign of inclusive support.

Compared to nearby schools, the gap is striking. Buchanan Elementary School, just 7.6 miles away, posts 4th grade math proficiency of 65.9% and 5th grade science of 49.6%, while Sharp Creek Elementary School in Carroll County ranks in the 39th percentile despite spending 34% more per student. Bremen achieves its results with $12,237 per student—less than most regional peers—suggesting strong instructional systems rather than high spending. The school's smooth transition from Jones Elementary (76.1% 3rd grade math proficiency) shows a well-aligned "pipeline" that keeps students on track. While ELA scores will be released in December, the current data paints a clear picture: this is a cost-effective, high-achieving school worth serious consideration.
