Summary

Trinity Oaks Elementary School in Trinity, FL, is a mid-sized public school serving 639 students in grades PK-5 within the Pasco County School District, located in a relatively affluent community where only about 27% of students qualify for free or reduced lunch.

This school stands out for its strong academic rebound, jumping to a 4-star rating (75th percentile) in the most recent school year after several years in the 60th percentile. This is a stark contrast to nearby schools like Sunray Elementary School and Anclote Elementary School, which remain in the bottom 5% of Florida elementary schools. Trinity Oaks also boasts a chronic absenteeism rate of just 16.5%, dramatically lower than the district average of 29.2% and far better than the 37.8% rate at Sunray. Additionally, the school is remarkably cost-effective, spending $11,066 per student—less than comparable high-performing schools like Longleaf Elementary School ($12,216) and Brooker Creek Elementary School ($12,820)—while still achieving higher test scores.

One fascinating highlight is Trinity Oaks' perfect 100% proficiency rate in 6th-grade math for three consecutive years, a feat shared with Deer Park Elementary School and Trinity Elementary School, suggesting a specialized advanced math program. The school is part of a "Trinity Triangle" of excellence, with Athenian Academy of Technology and the Arts (95th percentile) and Trinity Elementary (94th percentile) nearby, creating a highly competitive educational corridor. While Trinity Elementary has a slight edge with lower chronic absenteeism (12.0%) and a longer track record of top performance, Trinity Oaks' recent upward trend and efficient use of funding make it an excellent value for families seeking a strong, improving school in the Trinity area.

Open Quote The teachers and staff only care about each other. I had two children attend this school via school choice but I definitely regret it. Every time I turn around they are asking for more money for something!! I have one over achiever and the other needs additional support. Neither child is getting what they need and we will be choosing a different school next year. Close Quote

Open Quote The teachers at this school could not care less about teaching the kids anything. Also it's difficult to drop your kid off in the morning. Many of the parents would rather slam into your car then let you merge in front of them. It's weird. Close Quote

Open Quote My child's teacher does not seem so focused on the students. She gives no homework. He gets 2 pages of math homework every other week and 1 page of English for the week. He is not learning spelling at all. He is not learning to write paragraphs. I am extremely disappointed in this school. If he does not turn in homework, the teacher could care less. I do not hear about it from her as a concern like we Would expect. If you can send your child to another school, I would. This school is horrible in every way. Close Quote
