Open Quote i think its ok here are the good stuff: their school lunch taste good , the principal and teachers are kind, there's fun zone every friday if you got good grades and etc. I did check some reviews that said there are bullies in school and guess what nothing happened the students there were nice to me and the staff did do something about the bullying problem. and the bad stuff: the bathrooms smells horrible, their teachers can't allow you to pee when your almost to pee your pants, there are many bad students who always never behave the teachers (they didn't bully me so I'm lucky), and yes those are the bad stuff, maybe you can go to this school or not if you want. Open Quote My son just finished 8th grade and has had a great experience at Cobb in the magnet program. The teachers are top notch and caring. The academics are rigorous and the extracurricular offerings varied. He has made new friends and learned new skills. Middle school is only three years, but a lot of maturing and growing goes into that short time! Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
