Summary

Springview Elementary School in Miami Springs, FL, is a small, high-performing public school serving 302 students from Pre-K through 5th grade within the Miami-Dade district, consistently earning top ratings for its strong academic focus and highly engaged student body.

Springview stands out from nearby schools primarily for its exceptional math performance and low chronic absenteeism. In the 2025-2026 school year, 94% of 4th graders and 80% of 5th graders were proficient in math, far exceeding district and state averages. This math proficiency is unmatched by most neighbors, including Meadowlane Elementary School and Hialeah Elementary School. The school also boasts a chronic absenteeism rate of just 15%, which is nearly half the district and state averages and significantly lower than schools like Brightview Preparatory Academy (41.6%) and Excelsior Prep Charter School Of Hialeah (37.7%). While its English Language Arts scores for 3rd graders dipped slightly below the district average, the school’s overall academic ranking (80th percentile statewide) remains strong and stable.

An interesting comparison is with the nearby Integrated Science And Asian Culture (Isaac) Academy, a charter school that outperforms Springview in nearly every metric despite spending significantly less per student. Meanwhile, Miami Springs Elementary School spends more per student than Springview but ranks lower and has higher absenteeism, suggesting Springview uses its resources efficiently. With a history of high performance and a supportive school environment, Springview is a reliable choice for families seeking strong academics, especially in math, within a close-knit community.

Open Quote The school is well managed. The security is great since parents are not allowed to walk freely through the school. Kids are dropped off at the entrance and escorted in. I don't give it 5 stars because the teachers and office staff have developed an attitude of entitlement. The teachers have their cliques established and can be borderline rude to even the parents that they like. The worse offender is the lady at the front desk office, she has been there so long that depending on her mood is how she treats you that day. That aside, it is a great school to have your kid in and I can only say good things about the academics and security. Close Quote
