Raymond Elementary School is a PK–5 public elementary school in Washington, DC's District of Columbia Public Schools system, serving 439 students at 915 Spring Rd. NW. In 2025–2026, the school earned a 2-star rating and ranked 88th out of 124 DC elementary schools — a sharp drop from recent years when it typically earned 3 stars and ranked near the middle of the pack. Raymond is now the lowest-ranked school in its immediate cluster, trailing nearby schools like Barnard Elementary School (25th), Bruce-Monroe Elementary School at Park View (30th), Powell Elementary School (37th), and Bancroft Elementary School (39th).

The academic numbers are concerning. On the 2025–2026 DC CAPE assessments, only 23.5% of Raymond students scored proficient in ELA, compared to 44.1% for the District of Columbia Public Schools as a whole, and just 15.7% scored proficient in math versus 33.3% districtwide. The school has shown in the past that it can serve high-need students well, with at-risk students ranking in the 74th percentile in 2018–2019 and English language learners reaching the 72nd percentile in 2023–2024. That suggests the recent decline may stem from instructional, staffing, or leadership factors rather than the student population itself.
