The school also nudges slightly ahead of its own district averages in every subject. While its strongest nearby peer, Walter C. Polson Middle School in Madison, ranks even higher at #8 in the state, E. C. The school's results extend to student subgroups, where it has earned exceptional statewide rankings — including #1 in Connecticut for both low socioeconomic status students and special education students in recent years. Chronic absenteeism is just 7.3%, well below the state rate of 16.4%. E. C. Adams achieves these outcomes with per-student spending of $17,938 and a student-teacher ratio of 10.3, making it more efficient than several nearby schools that spend more yet see far weaker results. Open Quote The school is just plain bad. You can tell the teachers truly don't care and they can be rightfully described as delusional. None of the courses are challenging and it is basically a prison on the inside. They dress it up for those from the outside and the moment they leave we go back to being slaves in the institution. Honestly it was the worst school I've ever attended. The thing i hated the most was the principal; she was just a figurehead and the secretary did more then she did. Worst school ever.
