Open Quote Moved to Avon from out of state. Looked at local towns and thought this smaller district among the Farmington valley would be a good trade off versus larger schools in adjacent towns. What a mistake. Teachers are helpful but have their hands tied by the asst principle and principle. My child has mild LD and was not accommodated correctly. Superintendent was retiring and did not want to rock the boat. If you child is Autistic, this may work out for you. Beware though this district does what it wants, not what is needed for the kids or parents. Close Quote
