Vineland Middle School is a public school in rural Pueblo County serving 362 students in grades 6–8 as part of Pueblo County School District 70. The school serves a high-poverty community, with roughly two-thirds of students qualifying for free or reduced-price lunch, and it has shown one of the clearest improvement trends in the region over the past decade.

Academically, Vineland has climbed from the 11th percentile in 2020–2021 to the 42nd percentile in 2025–2026, moving from a 1-star to a 2-star rating. Math and science proficiency have nearly doubled in three years, yet the school still trails district and state averages in every subject. Math remains the biggest challenge, especially in 6th grade, where only 16.3% of students are proficient compared to the state average of 32.7%. By contrast, 8th graders perform at or near state levels in both English and math, suggesting students make strong gains as they move through the school.
