Dual Immersion Academy School is an elementary school in Grand Junction, CO, serving roughly 310 students in grades PK-5 as part of Mesa County Valley School District No. 51. It currently holds a 2-star rating and ranks 592nd out of 943 Colorado elementary schools, a decline from the low 60th percentile just a few years ago. The school serves a highly economically disadvantaged population, with 93.55% of students eligible for free or reduced-price lunch — the highest rate among all nearby comparison schools, and sharply up from about 60% the year before.

The clearest academic weakness is math. On the 2025-2026 CMAS, just 25.9% of students were proficient in math, compared with 35.5% in the district and 37.3% statewide. Only Juniper Ridge Community School scored lower among nearby schools, while high-poverty neighbors like Dos Rios Elementary School (34.7%), Chipeta Elementary School (32.8%), and Orchard Avenue Elementary School (33.3%) all scored higher despite lower poverty rates.
