As you review the school rankings data, please be aware that some of the information from certain demographics is missing. The reason for this omission is that the data has been redacted from the source data itself due to low population samples in these specific demographic groups.

Redacting data from low population samples is a necessary step to ensure the reliability and accuracy of the results, as small sample sizes may not be representative of the broader population. Additionally, this measure helps protect the privacy of individuals belonging to these demographic groups.

Open Quote from personal experience, its not a great school. They don't follow IB standards very well, not enough funding for the arts and music departments, way too much funding for football and other sports, most of the good teachers left when they got a new principle a few years ago. Kids aren't particularly nice either. But if you like the small community feel, this is a good school for you, I just didn't enjoy it from my personal experiences Close Quote

Open Quote Cache La Poudre has been an outstanding experience for our family. My son, who was already a good student, was able to excel in areas that used to be a bit of a struggle for him. CLP is a quiet, unassuming school with experienced teaching staff that are respected and actually well-liked by their students. There are so many things to like about CLP: this school has a strong technology bent and students utilize current technology through all their course offerings, the country setting (and the river that runs through campus which facilitates water science studies),the encouragement to participate in music and sports or just to try something new, but most of all we love the fact that CLP students are well-balanced, motivated learners who go on to high school as leaders and top students. Open Quote CLPMS offers the best gifted and talented program in PSD according to the district GT coordinator. Teachers have provided my children with a differentiated education. One of my children was accelerated and was very challenged and well-prepared by the pre-AP curriculum. The other child has a special education IEP and I have been extrememly impressed by the communication from his special ed support teacher. He has excelled due to the high expectations of his other classroom teachers. The music and art program have benefited both of my children. I look forward to sending my next child to CLP when he is in sixth grade Close Quote

About Students eligible for discounted/free lunch:

The National School Lunch Program (NSLP) provides low-cost or free meals to students in U.S. public and nonprofit private schools based on household income. Those with incomes below 130% of the poverty line receive free lunch, while those between 130% and 185% qualify for reduced-price lunch. The percentage of students receiving free or reduced-price lunch serves as a marker for poverty, as it reflects the socioeconomic status of families in a given school or district. A higher FRPL rate typically indicates a higher concentration of low-income families, suggesting that the school or district may face additional challenges in providing adequate resources and support for student success.

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
