Delta Middle School is a traditional public middle school in Delta, Colorado, serving 498 students in grades 6–8 as part of Delta County Joint District No. 50, a district that ranks 36th out of 115 districts statewide with a 4-star rating. The school itself earned 2 stars in the 2025–2026 school year, ranking 251st out of 469 Colorado middle schools in the 46th percentile. Academically, math is the most urgent challenge. Encouragingly, the dropout rate is just 0.8%, below the district's 2.0%, and the strong ELA results demonstrate the school can achieve near-grade-level performance despite its challenges.
