Open Quote I believe that Dartmouth has selected some of the best new teachers around. I feel so blessed to have what I feel are partners in my children's educations. I have read the scores but I don't think that this can be at the blame of the teachers and staff...I have witnessed time and time again lack of parental involvement and have experienced it myself in extracurricular activities. If you as a parent make an effort with your child's education then Dartmouth is a great place for your child to be. The only negative I can say is about the main art teacher - my kids and their friends have told me about their day in art and I am not impressed (cartoon watching?; heads down the ENTIRE classroom time because they weren't good in art earlier in the week)lazy art teacher not meant for elementary school if you ask me. About Student-Teacher Ratio
Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
