Byers School District No. 32J is a small rural Colorado district that authorizes 10 schools — 3 elementary, 3 middle, and 4 high schools — split between two traditional brick-and-mortar schools (Byers Elementary School and Byers Junior-Senior High School) and eight statewide online programs. The virtual schools enroll 6,343 of the district's 6,853 students (93%), led by Astravo Online Academy High School with 2,750 students — over 11 times the size of the physical high school.
