Zip code 95461 has seven schools—four elementary, one middle and two high schools—serving students from elementary through high school. Among the schools with current elementary results, Coyote Valley Elementary is the clearest all-around standout: in 2025–26, it led the three schools with results in all-grade ELA, math and science, at 54%, 53% and 39%. Its grade-specific results also beat state results in every reported comparison. That makes Coyote the strongest current all-around elementary performer in the area.
Results vary sharply by school and subject. Minnie Cannon Elementary had the lowest reported all-grade ELA and science results among schools with current scores, at 21% and 17%; its grade 4 and 5 ELA and math results were especially low. In contrast, Cobb Mountain Elementary improved in ELA and math, and all three elementary schools scored above the state in grade 3 math. At high school, Middletown High’s grade 11 ELA was 70%, 12 points above the state; its math and science were 15% and 25%, respectively, 17 and 13 points below. Middletown Middle was below the state in every reported subject and grade.
