Middle schools in ZIP code 92707 include two Santa Ana Unified schools, Douglas MacArthur Fundamental Intermediate and Julia C. Lathrop Intermediate; both serve grades 6–8. Their 2025–2026 results show a substantial difference between schools with the same grade span: MacArthur had higher proficiency in ELA, math, and science. The most important finding is that the school a student attends corresponds to a very different reported proficiency profile.

MacArthur stands out at the top, while Lathrop is lower in all three subjects.
