Summary:

ZIP code 92337 has seven elementary schools: four serving kindergarten through grade 5 and three serving kindergarten through grade 6. In 2025–2026, their average proficiency was 38% in English language arts (ELA), 29% in math and 25% in science, compared with state results of 49%, 38% and 36%. The area’s average was closest to the state in math, but remained below state results in all three subjects. The most important takeaway is that these averages hide substantial differences: some schools approach or exceed state results in particular subjects, while others lag well behind.

Canyon Crest Elementary is the broadest academic standout: it led the area in ELA at 49% and math at 42%, nearly matching the state in ELA and exceeding it in math by 3 points. Sycamore Hills Elementary led in science with 37%, 1 point above the state; Oak Park Elementary also exceeded the state in math, with 39%. At the other end, Jurupa Vista Elementary had the lowest ELA and math results, at 30% and 19%—20 and 19 points below the state. Michael D’Arcy Elementary had the lowest science result, 16%, 20 points below the state.

Recent results are mixed: from 2024–2025 to 2025–2026, the area’s average ELA score fell by 1 point, while math and science rose by 1 point each; the area fell farther behind state results in all three subjects. SchoolDigger’s statewide ranking puts Canyon Crest highest at the 59th percentile, up 10 percentile points since 2023–2024, and Jurupa Vista lowest at the 17th percentile, down 10 points. School characteristics offer context, not a simple guide to results: Chaparral Academy of Technology has a lower student–teacher ratio than Canyon Crest (16.8 versus 21.8), yet its results are lower; its free/reduced lunch eligible share was 87% in 2024–2025, compared with Canyon Crest’s 69%. The state provides free meals to all students statewide. Lower chronic absenteeism also did not guarantee higher results: Michael D’Arcy and Jurupa Vista reported rates of 9% and 10%, respectively, despite uneven or low scores.
