McNair Elementary leads all seven schools in each subject, with 64% proficient in ELA, 62% in math, and 60% in science; those results are 15, 24, and 24 points above state rates, respectively. Jefferson Elementary also stands out, with 61% in ELA, 49% in math, and 40% in science—all above state rates. At the lower end, KIPP Compton Community has the lowest ELA result (24%) and science result (18%); its elementary-school math result is also lowest at 16%. As context, the schools’ free/reduced lunch eligible rates for 2024–2025 ranged from 76% at KIPP to 91% at Martin Luther King; McNair’s rate was 89%. Student–teacher ratios ranged from 23.8 at McNair to 27.2 at Jefferson. All-grades comparisons combine schools with different grade spans, so grade-specific results can offer a closer comparison for a child’s grade.
