Open Quote We love SJHR and have been part of this school for 4 years now. I just have to say though, I am impressed with how the school is handling the current situation with the pandemic. We started distant learning March 18 and initially, it was just supposed to be up to March 31st. Since it was already announced on March 12th, the teachers got to prepare all materials needed. School on the 16th was dedicated to teach the kids how to operate and access google classroom and other apps we will use and we were asked to bring huge tote bags for all their books and stuff. We still have alot of those materials we haven’t gone thru up to this day, so I guess the teachers prepared to do this longer. They have ALOT of activities each day, at least 1 per subject. And we need to turn them in the same day they were assigned - which continues to give the students a sense of responsibility to do their school work even if they are just at home.

We use Google Classroom, Meet (when they do video chat with the whole class and the teacher goes over the work with them), Freckle, Epic, Prodigy, Vocabulary City, IXL, Seesaw. Close Quote

About Student-Teacher Ratio

Student/teacher ratio is calculated by dividing the total number of students by the total number of full-time equivalent teachers. Please note that a smaller student/teacher ratio does not necessarily translate to smaller class size. In some instances, schools hire teachers part time, and some teachers are hired for specialized instruction with very small class sizes. These and other factors contribute to the student/teacher ratio. Note: For private schools, Student/teacher ratio may not include Pre-Kindergarten.
