River Valley High is a public high school in Yuba City, California, serving 1,695 students in grades 9–12 as part of Yuba City Unified. Its results show a clear academic split: English language arts (ELA) is a strength, while mathematics is the central concern. In 2025–26, 60% of students were proficient in ELA, but only 24% were proficient in math, 14 percentage points below California’s 38%.

ELA is River Valley’s strongest result compared with the state, its district and nearby traditional high schools.
