Summary

Hogan Middle serves 785 students in grades 6–8 in Vallejo, in a group of nearby schools spanning several communities and districts. Its 2025–2026 test results were below California and Vallejo City Unified in English language arts (ELA), math, and science. The clearest concern is that Hogan ranked lowest among nearby schools in ELA and science, and third-lowest in math.

Math is Hogan’s strongest subject relative to its local and state comparisons, but scores remain low across the board. Hogan had 24% proficiency in ELA, compared with 49% statewide and 27% in its district; in math, it had 17%, versus 38% statewide and 20% in the district.
