Summary

San Elijo Elementary is a K–5 school in San Marcos, in North County San Diego, serving 834 students in San Marcos Unified. Its 2025–2026 proficiency rates were 77% in English language arts, 70% in math, and 58% in science. The school’s most important strength is that it is well above both its district and California in all three subjects: its leads were 19, 22, and 15 percentage points over the district, and 28, 32, and 22 points over the state, respectively.
