Helen L. Dollahan Elementary serves 608 students in kindergarten through fifth grade in Rialto, within Rialto Unified. Its results vary sharply by grade: third graders performed relatively well, with 45% proficient in English language arts (ELA), above the state and district, while fourth- and fifth-grade math proficiency was 19% and 16%. The most important concern is this divide: stronger third-grade results give way to much weaker performance in the upper grades, especially in math.
