Warren F. Frisbie Middle serves 1,000 students in grades 6–8 in Rialto, in the Inland Empire. In 2025–26, chronic absenteeism was 32%, higher than the 22% rate in Rialto Unified and the 18% statewide rate. The central finding for families is that test proficiency remains below district, state, and nearby-school comparisons in all three subjects, with the largest local shortfalls in math and science.

ELA is Frisbie’s strongest subject relative to its comparisons, while math and science are bigger concerns. In 2025–26, 39% of students met the ELA standard, compared with 44% in the district, 49% statewide, and a 44% median at nearby middle schools; Frisbie ranked fourth among eight comparable schools in ELA. Math proficiency was 14%, versus 25% in the district, 38% statewide, and a 23% nearby-school median. Science was 16%, compared with 28%, 36%, and a 32% nearby-school median, respectively. Frisbie ranked second-lowest among the eight schools in both math and science.

Results have improved since 2022–23: ELA rose 13 percentage points to 39%, math rose 6 points to 14%, and science rose 9 points to 16%; the gap with the state narrowed in each subject. However, math and science still trail the district by 11 and 13 points, respectively, wider gaps than in 2022–23. SchoolDigger rates Frisbie one star, with a statewide rank of 1,996 out of 2,703 and a 26th-percentile standing, up from the 12th percentile in 2023–24. Its student-teacher ratio was 24.8 in 2024–25, and 88% of students were free/reduced lunch eligible that year; these figures provide context, not explanations for results. SchoolDigger’s statewide measure for Hispanic students rose to the 35th percentile in 2025–26 from the 15th in 2023–24, while its measure for Low Socio Economic Status Students rose to the 31st percentile from the 13th, indicating notably improved relative standings for both groups.
