Summary

Pantera Elementary is a top-performing K-6 public school serving 512 students in Diamond Bar, California, as part of the Pomona Unified School District, where it stands out as a beacon of excellence within a generally lower-ranked district.

Despite the district's challenges, Pantera Elementary consistently achieves academic results that rank in the top 6% of all California schools, with over 81% of students proficient in English and 74% in math—far exceeding both district and state averages. Remarkably, the school excels at serving all students, ranking in the 98th percentile for economically disadvantaged students and maintaining an exceptionally low chronic absenteeism rate of just 3.8%, which is a fraction of the rate at neighboring schools like Golden Springs Elementary.

Pantera's success is particularly notable when compared to nearby schools in higher-ranked districts like Walnut Valley Unified; it competes favorably with schools such as Maple Hill Elementary while serving a student population with greater economic need. This demonstrates that with effective leadership and instruction, a school can deliver outstanding and consistent outcomes comparable to the area's very best, making Pantera a standout choice for families.

Open Quote My daughter graduated from Pantera Elementary. Most of her friends graduated from this school. Most of them now still hang out together. They all love this school so much. They all went to top 5 ranched public universities in California. (My daughter is an engineering student in UC Berkeley now. ) Teachers from Pantera elementary school encourage students in academic and many activities. They always help students and parents ( I am a Asian mom and not very good at English ). My daughter's math was so bad before attending this school. But she starts to love math and reading a lot because teachers' help. ( She even got 800 score in SAT writing ) She enjoy teachers' creative teaching method. School environment is very safe. Ratio of student number - teacher number is low compared to other public schools. Teachers get more attention on each students' need. We strongly recommend you choose this school for your kids if you do love them. Close Quote
