Summary

Brock Elliott Elementary is a K-8 public school serving 758 students in the Manteca Unified School District, which faces academic challenges across the board.

The school's academic performance has declined significantly over the past decade, now ranking in the bottom quarter of California elementary schools, with proficiency rates in math and science being less than half the state average. While its English scores are slightly above the district average, there are stark differences in performance between grade levels, and mathematics is a critical area of concern. It's important to note that the school serves a population with significant economic need, yet it operates with lower per-student spending than several nearby schools like Stella Brockman Elementary and Golden West Elementary while achieving comparable or better results, suggesting efficient use of resources.

When compared to other schools in the area, Brock Elliott performs better than some, such as Lincoln Elementary and Golden West, but lags behind higher-performing schools like Nile Garden Elementary and Veritas Elementary. A positive trend is the improvement in chronic absenteeism, which has dropped and is now slightly better than the district average, indicating progress on school climate and engagement that could support future academic gains.

Open Quote My son was in the Tracy unified school district for two and a half years. There has been a hundred times more growth in regard to learning and emotional development in his one year of having attended this school in Manteca. Instead of fighting with many of the teachers repeatedly asking them to do a better job... the teachers at this school fight for the children, adapt when needed and do all they can to prepare your child for the real world. Priceless. Close Quote
