Summary

Susan B. Anthony Elementary is a K-5 public school serving 407 students in Daly City, operating within the Jefferson Elementary district, and has shown a consistent pattern of improvement over the last decade.

The school has several standout strengths, including exceptional effectiveness in supporting English Language Learners, strong performance for Hispanic and low-income students, and a remarkably low chronic absenteeism rate of 8.9%—less than half the state average. It also operates very cost-effectively, achieving solid results with lower per-student spending than many nearby schools like John F. Kennedy Elementary and George Washington Elementary. While its overall academic proficiency is solid, it notably outperforms its district in math and science.

Interesting comparisons with neighboring schools highlight its unique environment. For instance, while Thomas Edison Elementary has higher test scores and even lower absenteeism, Susan B. Anthony achieves its strong attendance and supportive outcomes while serving a student population with greater economic need. The school's steady rise from a lower to a middle-tier ranking within the state demonstrates a sustainable and focused approach to education.

Open Quote Leadership is terrible at this school.
Bullying is an everyday thing here since Mr Rohrbach the principal does not reinforce the rules and many teachers are also out of control mis treating the students. Close Quote
