Summary

Fairvalley High (Continuation) is a small, alternative public high school serving about 115 students in grades 9-12 within the Covina-Valley Unified School District, designed for students who have faced significant academic or personal challenges in a traditional school setting.

This school operates very differently from nearby comprehensive high schools like Northview High or Covina High. It has a very low student-to-teacher ratio, allowing for more individualized attention, but it serves a student population with much higher needs, including a high rate of economic disadvantage. As a result, its standardized test scores and statewide academic ranking are significantly lower than those of traditional schools.
