Summary

McKinley Elementary serves 671 students in grades K–6 in Fresno, California. Its latest results show broad academic challenges: in 2025–2026, proficiency was below both Central Unified and California in English language arts, math, and science. The most important concern is that McKinley’s results are especially low in science and math compared with nearby schools, and its gaps with the state have widened across all three subjects.

McKinley’s strongest comparison is in ELA: it ranked fourth-lowest among nine nearby schools with results, and its 31% proficiency was about 4 points below their average. SchoolDigger’s statewide ranking for English Language Learner Students fell sharply, from the 74th percentile in 2021–2022 to the 3rd percentile in 2022–2023 and 2023–2024, indicating a much weaker comparative standing for how well the school serves this group.
