Summary

Warren A. Allison Elementary serves 391 students in grades K–6 in North Highlands, California. Its 2025–2026 results were below both Twin Rivers Unified and the state in all three reported subjects, and the school ranked near the bottom among nearby schools serving the same grades. The clearest concern for families is English language arts (ELA): only 24% of students were proficient, 12 percentage points below the district and 25 below the state.

Among six nearby K–6 schools, including Warren, it had the second-lowest result in ELA, math and science. Math was its closest subject to the district and state overall, but just 24% of students were proficient. There is a standout by grade: sixth-grade math reached 44%, above the district’s 28% and the state’s 37%, and higher than any nearby school reporting a sixth-grade result. Results have weakened over the four years shown: ELA fell 9 percentage points from 2022–2023 to 2025–2026, math fell 2, and science fell 9; the state gap also widened in each subject. SchoolDigger ranked the school 4,734th of 5,804 California schools, at the 18th percentile with one star, down from the 46th percentile in 2023–2024. Its 23.0 students per teacher in 2024–2025 was within the nearby range of 21.7–25.4. In 2024–2025, 91% of students were reported as free/reduced lunch eligible, the third-highest share among nearby schools with comparable measures. SchoolDigger’s subgroup results also showed notable differences: its measure of how well the school serves White students was at the 6th percentile in 2022–2023 and 14th in 2023–2024, compared with overall school percentiles of 36 and 46; for English Language Learner students, the percentile rose from 4 to 49 over those same years.
