Grades K-12
Summary

California Pacific Charter - San Diego is a K–12 alternative school in Warner Springs, California, with 1,489 students; in 2025–2026, its all-grades proficiency was higher than California’s, Warner Unified’s and Brookfield Engineering Science Technology Academy’s in ELA, math and science, with math its clearest overall strength.

The school’s strongest broad comparison is in math, while results within the grades are less consistent. In 2025–2026, 57% of students were proficient in math, compared with 38% statewide, 15% in the district and 25% at Brookfield; the school’s leads were 18, 42 and 31 percentage points, respectively. ELA proficiency was 56%, versus 49% statewide, 33% in the district and 36% at Brookfield. Science was 53%, compared with 36%, 18% and 25%. But some elementary results fell below the state: third-grade math was 33% versus 47%, and fifth-grade ELA was 41% versus 49%; several middle and high school grades, by contrast, were well above state results. Attendance is another area where comparisons differ: chronic absenteeism was 14%, below the state’s 18% and the district’s 30%, but above Brookfield’s 2%.

Graduation and dropout results improved between 2024–2025 and 2025–2026: graduation rose from 91% to 97%, a 6-point increase, while dropout fell from 4% to 3%. In the latest year, the graduation rate was 9 points above the state’s and Brookfield’s was 71%; the school’s dropout rate was 5 points below the state’s, while Brookfield’s was 29%. SchoolDigger’s supplied rating is for the district, not the school: Warner Unified ranks 626th of 968 districts, in the 35th percentile, with 2 stars. The school’s student-teacher ratio was 13.1:1 and its free/reduced-lunch eligibility was 32% in 2017–2018; those older measures are not like-year comparisons with nearby schools’ 2024–2025 figures. The school has only one year of supplied test results, so its test-score trend is unknown, and these older staffing and income measures do not establish current conditions.
