Summary:
The Three Rivers Union Elementary area has one school, Three Rivers Elementary, serving kindergarten through eighth grade, with 93 students. The most important finding for families is that its 2025–2026 results were above California’s in all three reported subjects.
Because it is the only school in the area, it is both the highest- and lowest-performing school in this group; that is not a useful peer comparison. Against the state, however, it had a broad advantage: 63% of students were proficient in ELA versus 49% statewide, a 14-point lead; in mathematics, 48% versus 38%, a 10-point lead; and in science, 50% versus 36%, a 14-point lead. Science was the school’s largest advantage, while mathematics was its smallest, though it was still above the state.
Results improved most sharply in mathematics: proficiency rose from 29% in 2024–2025 to 48% in 2025–2026, while California’s result moved from 37% to 38%. The school shifted from 8 points below the state to 10 points above it. ELA and science also improved, by 3 and 6 points, respectively. SchoolDigger’s statewide percentile ranking followed an uneven but recent rebound, moving from 78 in 2023–2024 to 58 in 2024–2025 and then 82 in 2025–2026; its latest rank was 1,071 of 5,804 schools. Attendance is another positive indicator: chronic absenteeism was 11%, compared with 18% statewide, an 8-point difference. The school’s student-teacher ratio was 15.5 in 2024–2025, and 37% of students were free/reduced lunch eligible that year. Among reported grade-level results, seventh grade had the narrowest leads over the state: 8 points in ELA and 4 in mathematics. Some 2025–2026 grade-level results were suppressed, and there are no other schools in the area for comparison.
